A better experience.
A more practical place to recover.
Travelers should not have to navigate an unfamiliar hospital for every illness. LEAA brings licensed medical professionals to their location to evaluate and treat conditions that can safely be managed outside a hospital.

Discreet care.
Personal attention.
LEAA treats tourists, families, business executives, celebrities, politicians and diplomats. We bring that same attentive, private approach to your insured travelers.
Premium care.
A fraction of hospital charges.
For suitable non-emergency cases, mobile treatment offers a lower-cost alternative to a hospital visit. Ambulance transport can add another separate charge.
| Care setting | Charge benchmark |
|---|---|
| LEAA mobile medical care At a hotel, Airbnb, home or office | Approximately $1,500 Average per case, supplied by LEAA |
| ER visit without inpatient admission | $7,537 2024 national average hospital billed charge [1] |
| Inpatient hospital admission | $79,122 2024 national average for the entire stay; approximately 5 days [2] |
| Ambulance transport—additional | $1,793–$2,212 FDNY base transport rates, effective July 2026; plus $20/mile and $66 for oxygen when provided [3] |
Hospital benchmarks are national billed-charge averages across different conditions and patient populations, not matched prices for LEAA cases or amounts insurers necessarily pay. Inpatient charges cover an entire hospitalization, generally exclude physician fees and may include preceding ER services. Do not add the ER benchmark to the inpatient benchmark. An observation bed, even overnight, does not necessarily mean inpatient admission. [4, 5]

Potential annual reduction in modeled billed charges
$6,537,000
The model assumes 10% of medical cases require inpatient admission and 25% use an ambulance. The 1,000 LEAA cases are drawn only from the group otherwise receiving ER care without admission. Necessary inpatient care remains in the budget.
All case frequencies, mobile-care suitability and transport usage are illustrative assumptions. The model assumes every case starts on a hospital pathway; actual insurers also use clinics and telehealth. The $2,000 transport input is a rounded assumption, not a measured average. All 1,000 LEAA cases are assumed to resolve without subsequent ER care. Potential reductions are before insurer discounts and exclude program administration, subsequent care and separately billed physician fees. Actual savings require the insurer’s own comparable claims and contracted payments. For example, at $3,000 paid per comparable case versus $1,500 for LEAA, 1,000 cases would yield a $1.5 million difference before other costs.
