About Stelara
What is Stelara used for?
Stelara (ustekinumab) is a prescription biologic approved for certain patients with the following conditions. Eligibility depends on age, diagnosis and the prescribing clinician’s assessment.
Plaque psoriasis
Moderate to severe disease in patients who are candidates for systemic treatment or phototherapy.
Psoriatic arthritis
Active psoriatic arthritis.
Crohn’s disease
Moderately to severely active Crohn’s disease.
Ulcerative colitis
Moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis.
An injection and an infusion are different.
For adults with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, treatment begins with an IV infusion, followed by maintenance injections. Confirm which treatment your prescription requires; an injection quote does not automatically cover an initial infusion.

Does LEAA administer the injection?
LEAA can arrange prescribed injection administration at home or another approved location, subject to clinical review and local availability. Your quote will specify the administration fee or whether it is included.
Can LEAA handle repeat injections and follow-up?
Yes. LEAA can coordinate repeat injection visits and follow-up around your prescriber’s treatment plan. Confirm the price for future medication doses and visits separately.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Stelara requires a prescription and clinical assessment. Medication availability or payment does not establish whether it is appropriate for you.
Is this brand-name Stelara or a biosimilar?
Ask for the exact product name on your written quote. A Stelara quote should identify brand-name Stelara. If an ustekinumab biosimilar is proposed instead, it must be identified separately and reviewed with your prescriber.
Can insurance cost less than this offer?
Yes. Your insurance benefits, manufacturer assistance or a biosimilar may result in a lower personal cost. LEAA’s offer is private-pay; reimbursement is not guaranteed. Compare your actual out-of-pocket options before booking.
